Chapter 13: If you need to
file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy....for most clients.... we only require a
small down payment up front, plus the filing fee of $274*, plus the cost
of getting your credit reports and the required consumer credit
counseling & financial management course. In Chapter 13...the
remainder of our attorney fees are figured into your plan and paid out
over time....and this makes filing bankruptcy affordable for you.
Chapter 7: If you need to
file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy....we offer a flexible payment plan. Under
the law...we have to collect all fees up-front, before we file your
case. Otherwise....when we file your case....we wipe out our own debt
...because attorney fees are just another debt you can get rid of in
bankruptcy. Usually...however...if you are a good candidate for a
Chapter 7 plan....and you can hold off filing your case for a few
months....this gives you the time to come up with the necessary fees.
Many of our clients pay as little as $100 per month until the fees are
paid. As soon as all the fees are collected....we file your case. In the
meantime....there is still good news. Your case is not yet filed....but
you have a lawyer. Once you put some money....as little as $75
down.....we are your lawyer...and this means you have the full weight of
our office behind you. Once we are your lawyer.....and you have
questions.....you have full access to the lawyer and staff to answer
your questions...and to keep you protected as best we can until you can
get your case filed.
